LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Oct. 28, 2008) - African Copper plc (AIM:ACU)(TSX:ACU)(BOTSWANA:AFRICAN COPPER) received notification on 28 October 2008 that Geologic Resource Funds have a notifiable interest in 8,805,800 ordinary shares in the Company. This interest represents 5.99% of both the Company's current issued capital and of total voting rights.
