LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - May 14, 2012) - MMRGlobal, Inc. (
Within days of signing of the reseller agreements, the Company began generating immediate revenue from patients signed up by the resellers at $99.95 per year. MMR also disclosed that patients signed up for a MyMedicalRecords PHR account under the Patient Advocate reseller program used the product much more than those who enroll directly online or through employee benefit and affinity membership programs. While MMR does not have access to any health information in the PHRs, it can see the amount of storage used by these accounts is ten times higher than for other patients, noting hundreds of records being faxed into accounts during the set-up period alone. The Company also noted that these results continue to validate its paid subscription model and demonstrate that once a patient gets involved in using an account it tends to become an integral part of their lifestyle.
"I am planning on making the MyMedicalRecords PHR mandatory for my patients so that I can have access to their information when I need it," said Kitty Wilde, R.N., CEO of Patient-Advocate.com. "What I tell my patients is that it is essential to have your records in one place when you are seeing different doctors because the doctors can't access all your important health information otherwise."
"Over 100,000 people have compromised health management and die every year by not having emergency information and health records available 24/7," said Marilyn Bradfield, President and CEO of Premier Health Advocates. "When I met with MMRGlobal, I knew that I had found the missing link with their MyMedicalRecords PHR."
Ms. Wilde also cited an example of a daughter who was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa when she received an email alert from MyMedicalRecords saying that a record had been added to her parents' PHR. "She called wanting to make sure everything was okay, and it was. That shows the power of the product and being able to stay connected from anywhere in the world, and allowed her to continue her climb without worry."
Ms. Bradfield has been a Medical Advisor on television series and movies including St. Elsewhere, Mask and Life Goes On in addition to her career as a nurse and patient advocate. "I am passionate that everyone should have an opportunity to be proactive in his or her health and wellness and I see the MyMedicalRecords PHR as facilitating that," she said.
The two organizations are amongst the first to distribute the MyMedicalRecords PHR to their patients, while also working with the Company to bring the product into other healthcare channels through their relationships with physicians, concierge practices, hospitals and ambulance services, including air ambulances.
