VAN NUYS, CA--(Marketwire - May 18, 2012) - Caesarstone USA, Inc. hosted a 2 day event at South Street Seaport, New York City on April 4th and 5th as the first stop on their inaugural Color Pop-Up Tour. The event was held in honor of the 17 new Caesarstone colors while consumers, trade partners, and industry leaders gathered to share this unique and innovative experience.
Luxe Interiors + Design helped unveil the new colors by hosting a "Set the Mood" inspiration board design challenge. Luxe asked 17 designers to think outside the box and develop a mood board inspired by one of the new colors of Caesarstone, including a sketch of their dream space.
The boards were unveiled on the first day, followed by an opening night ceremony also hosted by Luxe Interiors + Design. "We're thrilled to share this opportunity with the design community to think outside the box and interpret Caesarstone's new shades in innovative ways," said Luxe Editor in Chief Pamela Jaccarino.
Participating designers really stepped up to the challenge. Their mood boards not only displayed the range of colors and patterns of the new Caesarstone products, but also the versatility of the surface. Not just a countertop for kitchens and bathrooms, designers were inspired to include the surface in a variety of unique applications: from closets, to bedrooms, to wall cladding, and even custom furnishings. The colors inspired a wide range of different styles as well. Neons and neutrals, bohemian flair, bold colors, rich fabrics and textures, geometric patterns, contemporary, Victorian, vintage, elemental, metallics, couture, and many more styles were featured.
Caesarstone has yet to announce their next stop on the Color Pop-Up Tour, though it is sure to be an innovating and awe-inspiring experience from the well-established global leader in the quartz industry.
