High River Gold Mines Ltd. (TSX:HRG) is an unhedged junior gold
producer, with a strong growth profile. High River has interests
in five gold projects located in Russia, West Africa and Canada;
three are producing gold mines. In Russia, High River operates
through its controlled subsidiary, OJSC Buryatzoloto, which owns
a 100% interest in the Zun-Holba and Irokinda gold mines that
produced approximately 154,000 ounces of gold in 2003. High River
also has a 50% joint venture interest in the New Britannia Mine
located in Snow Lake, Manitoba where Kinross Gold Corporation is
the mine operator.
High River has two development projects, the Berezitovy Gold
Project located in the Amur Oblast in southern Siberia, Russia,
and the Taparko Gold Project in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Both
projects are being developed as open pit mines with conventional
mills and are expected to begin production during the fourth
quarter of 2005. High River's attributable annual gold production
is expected to triple by 2006 to 355,000 ounces.
High River also has a pipeline of future projects through
strategic alliance with 3 well-managed junior exploration
companies:
