Join Us for a Luncheon Presentation by Economist Don Drummond
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 14, 2012) - On May 15, 2012, CACDS, the association representing community pharmacy in Canada, will be in Ottawa for the first PharmacyWoRx on the Hill Day to advocate for an enhanced role in delivering high-quality, convenient and accessible healthcare to patients from coast-to-coast.
Media are invited to join CACDS for an exclusive luncheon presentation by economist Don Drummond on the Sustainability of Healthcare in Canada, on May 15 from 12:30pm - 1:45pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask Mr. Drummond questions at the conclusion of his presentation.
CACDS Chair, Ms. Sandra Aylward will also be available throughout May 15th for interviews on the enhanced role that pharmacy can play in patient care to make healthcare in Canada more fiscally sustainable.

About Don Drummond
As the Chair of the Commission on the Reform of Ontario's Public Service, Mr. Drummond delivered the report, Public Services for Ontarians: A Path to Sustainability and Excellence in February 2012.
After an illustrious financial career Don Drummond retired from the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at TD Financial Group. Previously he led the group's analysis and forecasting of economic performance in Canada and abroad. In Canada, his focus was on industrial, municipal, provincial and national levels. Currently Mr. Drummond is a Matthews Fellow in Global Public Policy and a Distinguished Visiting Scholar in the School of Policy Studies at Queens University and Chair of the Commission on the Reform of Ontario Public Services.
Born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Mr. Drummond graduated from the University of Victoria. He subsequently received his M.A. in Economics from Queen's University.
