The Trails of Wellington North lead to Butter Tarts... How sweet is that?
FOR: TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH
JUN 7, 2012 - 08:00 ET
KENILWORTH, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 7, 2012) - Wellington North, located 90 minutes North West of Toronto, is an area that encompasses walking trails, cycling trails and a birding trail, all winding through quaint tranquil vistas you can discover on your own self-guided tour. But of all the trails, The Butter Tart Trail™ is one of the most popular; which is hardly surprising.
Who doesn't like a rich, decadently-sinful butter tart, and on this self-guided road tour, there are at least a dozen varieties you'll come across. There are also other inventions you may encounter: doggy butter tart treats, pottery trays in homage to the butter tart and scents inspired by them. You may event chance upon a butter tart sundae. It's an exploration of all things "butter tart" in one variation or another.
New to the 2012 season is the Butter Tart Trail™ Passport! Experience the trail and get a stamp at a minimum of 12 of the 16 spots you make on the trail then simply send in for your chance to win fabulous prizes, including a copy of the official Wellington North Butter Tart Trail™ Recipe Book.
The Butter Tart Trail™ was established in 2006 and is winner of the EDCO 2007 Ontario Economic Development Award, as well as, receiving 3 EDAC Marketing Canada Awards.
