Attendees Will Receive 1.0 AIA LU, 1.0 NCQLP LEU and a Better Understanding of the Benefits of Daylight Modeling
CANTON, MI--(Marketwire - September 25, 2012) - Duo-Gard, a leading innovator in high-performance translucent daylighting systems and architectural illumination, today announced that Tim Metcalfe, Director of Sustainable Technologies, will be presenting a 1.0 AIA LU and 1.0 NCQLP LEU accredited seminar at LightShow East in Washington, D.C. Scheduled for noon on Wednesday, October 3, the presentation will cover new daylighting technologies and how they can decrease energy consumption and overhead, while creating an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable environment for occupants.
Tim Metcalfe, head of Duo-Gard's integrated building model strategies, will apply his daylight modeling expertise to his presentation "Integrating New Technologies for High-Performance Daylight Modeling," one of 24 AIA-approved and NCQLP registered sessions about the latest developments in the daylighting industry. He will highlight the benefit of daylighting over artificial light and explore how daylighting can reduce costly factors such as heat gain and glare.
"I am excited to be a part of this year's event and change the perception of daylighting," said Tim Metcalfe of Duo-Gard. "When people think of daylighting, they rarely realize the many benefits, from lower utility bills to helping employees be more productive and focused."
LightShow East is a two-day event designed for architects, lighting designers, distributors, store planners, interior designers and other lighting specifiers to explore new products, as well as attend continuing education seminars. This conference is a great opportunity to learn about the latest lighting technologies and trends from industry experts.
