Founder of Chaucer Group, which he established in 1987, Mr Laslett has worked or acted as a consultant for a wide range of companies in the carbon energy sector in projects around the world. Clients include BP, Shell, Conoco, Protech International, Burmah Oil and Marathon Oil.

Mr Laslett is a Director of English Football Club Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Wolves), a Fellow of the Association for Project Management (FAPM), a Fellow of the Energy Institute (FEI) and a Member of the Association of Cost Engineers (MACostE).

Mr Paul Ray will continue as the company's Chief Executive Officer.
