First-Ever "ART of Marketing" Conference Set for May 17
The San Diego Chapter of the American Marketing Association Plans New Training and Networking Conference
SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - May 3, 2012) - The San Diego Chapter of the American Marketing Association is preparing its first-ever ART of Marketing conference, drawing industry professionals from a broad range of marketing disciplines. The day-long event, which will take place on May 17 at UCSD Extension City University Center, will feature an array of speakers, panels and hands-on training intensives.
"After a few years of talking about the concept of an ART of Marketing type conference, we are so excited that it's finally come together," says Kathy Townend, president of SDAMA. "We have been working with community partners and our SDAMA members to determine the best topics for this inaugural conference. That input, combined with the quality of the presenters involved, makes this conference extremely relevant to our audience, while also being a great value."
The conference will feature keynote speakers Kevin J. Smith from Rollins Inc., who will talk about "Marketing From Within," and Geoff Hamilton from Life Technologies, who will speak on "Global Branding in the Digital Age." Attendees can choose from a variety of hands-on workshops, such as "Creating Digital Personas," "The New Marketing Mix," and "Understanding the Consumer Path to Purchase" (to name a few).
"We created an event where people can walk away with the marketing tools and best practices to help them succeed at their job -- tomorrow," says Parker Pike, marketing manager at UCSD Extension. "If you want to be up-to-date on today's best marketing practices, then this is one conference you won't want to miss."
