Quorum Information Technologies Announces Private Placement to Raise Gross Proceeds of $3.0 Million

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 13, 2006) - Quorum Information Technologies Inc. (TSX VENTURE:QIS) ("Quorum" or the "Corporation") announced today that it will issue on a non-brokered private placement basis up to 2,145,000 units ("Units") at a price of $1.40 per Unit for gross proceeds of up to $3,003,000. Each Unit will be comprised of one (1) common share ("Common Share") and one (1) common share purchase warrant ("Warrant") of the Corporation. Each Warrant will entitle the holder thereof to acquire one (1) additional Common Share at a price of $2.10 per share. The Warrants will expire twelve (12) months following the initial closing date of the Private Placement. The proceeds of the private placement will be used to further fund the development of Quorum's proprietary XSELLERATOR^TM automotive Dealership Management System (DMS) software, and expansion of Quorum's business into the United States market under the recently awarded GM IDMS contract. The private placement is expected to close September 29, 2006.
