General Motors Canada Selects Quorum to Lead Development of New Integration for Factory Customer Leads

Quorum's Software to be First Dealer System to Feature Full Integration of GM Supplied Leads
OSHAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 7, 2007) - General Motors of Canada, Limited (GMCL) today announced that Quorum Information Technologies Inc. (Quorum) (TSX VENTURE:QIS) has been selected to be the lead developer and pilot system for its innovative new factory-to-dealer electronic leads program. The announcement was made by Blair Upton, Director - Enterprise Customer Management and Maury Marks, President and CEO of Quorum.
Under its Integrated Dealer Management System (IDMS) program, GMCL has contracted with Quorum to develop the new integration point whereby GMCL will transmit leads generated by the automaker's various websites and marketing programs directly to Quorum dealers via Quorum's system. The result will be a seamless process for dealerships to automatically receive the leads without having to download them from GMinfoNET. Once the leads are in a dealer's system, Quorum's DMS allows them to be assigned to sales people and tracked for follow-up. When development is complete, the new integration will be piloted with a select group of dealers who currently use Quorum's software.
Beyond the obvious efficiencies of automatic retrieval of the leads, dealers will benefit from higher lead conversion rates and increased sales. Previously, Quorum had provided a method for dealers to import the leads that were manually downloaded from GMinfoNET. Even in this manual environment, a case study demonstrated significantly increased conversion rates. One dealer even attained a 12% conversion rate during the study period.
This new integration helps complete a total electronic best-practice approach for the complete customer lifecycle. Combined with the other innovative integration that Quorum has worked with GMCL to implement (e.g.: Vehicle Delivery Reporting, Electronic Vehicle Invoice, Vehicle Inquiry System, Incentives, etc.), the collaboration between the automaker and Quorum has led to a seamless process for maximizing the relationship between dealers and their customers from the time they become a prospect, through to their experience as an on-going service customer and repeat vehicle purchaser.
