IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - April 17, 2012) - Bosch home appliances is proud to announce that the Lowe's exclusive Bosch Ascenta dishwasher, recently earned a No. 1 ranking and is recommended as a "best value" by a leading consumer publication. In addition to this recent honor, this ENERGY STAR-rated Bosch dishwasher is the quietest in its class, showcasing Bosch and Lowe's commitment to providing high performing products with tremendous value.
The Lowe's exclusive Bosch Ascenta, model SHE3ARFUC, saves up to 280 gallons of water each year, exceeding ENERGY STAR requirements for water by 69%. The dishwasher features 6 wash cycles and 2 options, including a Delicate Wash that gently cleans Fine China and a Sanitize option that eliminates bacteria and enhances drying results. The Bosch Ascenta also features the Bosch Exclusive 24/7 Overflow Leak Protection, which senses leaks and closes the water inlet valve even if the dishwasher is off to prevent water damage to the home.
Bosch dishwashers have been industry leaders for their unparalleled German engineering since their 1991 introduction in the United States. The Bosch Ascenta dishwasher is a standout for efficiency and affordability in the Bosch dishwasher line -- the quietest line of dishwashers in North America.
"The Ascenta dishwasher line from Bosch offers efficient, yet powerful performance, reflecting our commitment to engineering a quality machine that truly is a smart value for the money spent," said Stephanie Hutaff, director of product marketing, dishwashers for Bosch home appliances.
This recognition marks the 14th time that a Bosch dishwasher has received a No. 1 ranking. Further highlighting Bosch's commitment throughout the kitchen, this same consumer publication also recognized Bosch as the only brand to receive a "recommended" rating in every built-in cooking category.
Bosch, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2007, was recently recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a 2012 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award for the second year in a row in recognition of its continued leadership in protecting our environment through energy efficiency. This includes being the only U.S. appliance manufacturer with 100 percent of its major appliances ENERGY STAR-rated and exceeding federal energy standards in dishwashers by up to 97 percent.
The EPA also named Lowe's winner of the ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award in Retail for the third consecutive year. Lowe's has won 10 consecutive ENERGY STAR awards (2003-2012) for product retailing, more than any other retailer.
