NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - April 24, 2012) - Astonfield Co-Chairman Sourabh Sen will be a featured panelist at the seventh annual Lux Executive Summit in Boston on Wednesday, April 25, discussing renewable energy infrastructure in emerging markets.
The Lux Executive Summit is a gathering of leaders from innovative global organizations at the forefront of developing and deploying the emerging technologies that will define our future. Past speakers include representatives from General Electric, Toyota, and Kleiner Perkins, in addition to public officials such as U.S. Senator John Kerry (D-MA) and Acting Undersecretary of Energy, ARPA-E, Arun Majumdar.
"I am delighted to share my thoughts on the critical role for renewable energy technologies in driving development in emerging markets," said Sourabh Sen, Co-Chairman of Astonfield Renewable Resources. "As investment opportunities like the Indian solar sector draw increasing attention from global financiers, substantive discussion on critical success factors will be key to separating the wheat from the chaff."
Sen co-founded Astonfield Renewable Resources in 2005 along with Co-Chairman Ameet Shah. The company has developed and commissioned utility-scale solar plants across India, including most recently a five megawatt plant in Rajasthan and a two megawatt plant in Uttar Pradesh. Astonfield's investment partners include the Exim Bank of India, The State Bank of India, and T-Solar.
Sen will appear on the panel entitled "Capitalizing on Our Evolving Energy Infrastructure" with Nobuhisa Tomoda, General Manager, Mitsui Global Strategic Studies Institute; Christoph Vogel, VP & GM, Global Workplace Solutions, Johnson Controls; and Bob Shatten, Principal, Boreal Renewable Energy Development.
